This page features information about where to purchase solar filters and viewers. Some of the companies listed have worked with members of the AAS Solar Eclipse Task Force with great success. The products on this list have demonstrated that their products meet certain requirements of the ISO 12312-2 international standard. Solar filters and viewers are very important when viewing a solar eclipse, as it is unsafe to look at the sun without them.

2023 Eclipse Path

Created by Xavier Jubier and hosted on his website, this satellite-image based interactive map shows the path of the 2023 annular eclipse. Clicking on any point along the path of the eclipse will show you the timing for the entire event, from the beginning of the partial eclipse to the maximum eclipse and to the end of the partial eclipse. There is a plethora of other information available at every point along the paths of the eclipse, and we highly recommend checking these tools out.
