Here are resources provided by the AAS Solar Eclipse Task Force intended to be used for broad distribution and may be freely reproduced, printed, and disseminated as long as no changes are made to them.
Compiled by the AAS Solar Eclipse Task Force, this page has some of the best eclipse maps, globes, and calculators available, including maps by Fred Espenak, known worldwide as “Mr. Eclipse.” More information on both Espenak and the maps can be found on the page.
The AAS provides an assortment of images and videos of solar eclipses and even people experiencing them. The resources have been provided by their owners, who retain copyright, but they are provided on this website to help educators and journalists who need eclipse-related graphics for lessons/media reports. The terms for use are included at the top of the page.
This page features information about where to purchase solar filters and viewers. Some of the companies listed have worked with members of the AAS Solar Eclipse Task Force with great success. The products on this list have demonstrated that their products meet certain requirements of the ISO 12312-2 international standard. Solar filters and viewers are very important when viewing a solar eclipse, as it is unsafe to look at the sun without them.
This page features suggestions for telescopes and binoculars for use in observing solar eclipses, as well as some tips for use.

Created by Xavier Jubier and hosted on his website, this satellite-image based interactive map shows the path of the 2023 annular eclipse. Clicking on any point along the path of the eclipse will show you the timing for the entire event, from the beginning of the partial eclipse to the maximum eclipse and to the end of the partial eclipse. There is a plethora of other information available at every point along the paths of the eclipse, and we highly recommend checking these tools out.
